Several Types Of Crash Mats On The Market

A crash mat is used to ensure the safety of people as they train in gymnasiums. They are essential as they ensure that as the trainee falls on the mat with some impact, they are safe. Crash mats come in various types and sizes all designed to meet the varied needs of users. All these kinds of mats can be found in various places.

One can find pads in most gymnasiums. In large gymnasiums where gymnasts are always practicing, various kinds of techniques and stunts like walking on high beams they need to use these mats. These ensures that even as they fall on the floor during practice because they fall several times before they become perfect that they are not injured.

At the usual gyms where people go for workout sessions, you are most likely to find a mat. The pads that may be found here mostly include the panel mat and sting mat. These pads are especially useful when you are performing various simple exercises like yoga on the floor.

Some types of these pads include the cheese mat that looks like a wedge. The name comes from its appearance of looking like a piece of cheese. It is usually inclined to an angle hence its appearance like some cheese. This type is found in most training gymnasiums for athletes who may be practicing various stunts that involve tumbling over. This kind of mat may also be referred to as incline mat, wedge mat or hill mat because of the incline that gives an impression of a person going down a hill.

A panel mat is another one that is usually found in most gyms. This type is quite thin and can easily unfold. When one is done using it, they can simply fold it back and put it in its rightful place. This kind is advantageous as compared to the others because it can be easily moved by simply folding it. This mat is usually used mostly by people during yoga or some simple exercises.

A sting mat is quite similar to the panel mat. It is also quite thin being only around half an inch thick and very soft. It therefore eases any sting as one is falling onto it during exercises or training. The main difference between a panel mat and a sting one is that the sting mat one is softer and does not fold like the panel one.

A resi mat on the other hand is unlike most of these mats mentioned. It is quite huge measuring about three to four feet high. Although it can be used for almost anything, due to its thickness it is mostly used when you are vaulting or it is put under very high beams so that a person can fall over it as they train.

Crash mats are important in any kind of gymnasium. You are therefore likely to find these pads in most gymnasiums especially in places where athletes train. The various types of pads that one may find ensures that the needs of most users have been met.
