How Cobbs Block Central Contributes to the Down Town Transformation

Sylvan Lake belongs to the old Alberta communities. With clear waters and sand beaches, a rare quality in Albertan Lakes, the lake is an attractive place to be. With thanks to its year round activities, Sylvan Lake has been widely known for its year round activities. The summer brings residents out of their homes and vacationers from all around. Sylvan Lake is easily accessed; it is located between the 2 big cities of the province. Since the communities beginnings in 1904 the town has experienced major growth and seen many phases of life.

Besides tourism, the town is a great place for people to develop their business. There are more and more people who come to this potential land to do their own businesses. With a bustling east business core, many new opportunities are coming available in the downtown area. People can easily realize the combination between the transformation of the lake shore and the updates which the downtown area has seen in the past few years. The town has been being transformed day by day; people can see the clear transformation through the beautiful lakeside park, the updated facilities and the appearance of new businesses.

Revitalizing downtown Sylvan Lake draws the community back down to one of its most beautiful places. Coming down Main Street looking out over the lake is welcoming view at any time of year. The warmer, busier months of the year bring throngs of people into the downtown area. This area is ideally located in the town core, thus it is very easy to access from all corners of the town. It can be simply reached when people enter from out of town. People in this area are witnessing many new project come in. One of the most major projects is the investment of 22 million by the Town of Sylvan Lake to revitalize this downtown area.

Cobbs Block Central is a project which aims at bringing the emphasis back to the downtown area. An entire renovation is now underway from the historic Cobbs Grocery building. People who are doing this project hope that they can bring the emphasis back to this downtown area by summer 2013. It is the major strength in the transformation of downtown and helps to bring a fresh vibe into the area. The project is built with the hope to offer the community an opportunity to come down and enjoy this area. More importantly, the project leaders will also invite the business professionals to set up shop.

The Cobbs Block Central is ideally located on the main route between the highway and the beach, which makes it easy to access. Drawing business back into the area is important to revive the heart of the community. The Cobbs Block Central means much more than just offering office spaces for leasing; this project helps to create an opportunity to become involved in a major revitalization within a growing, thriving Albertan community.
