The idea of trailer graphics is tremendous when you are talking about simple yet effective advertising. These visuals can prove to be some of the most striking if they are done by some of the best authorities that can be imagined. That being said, what are some of the greatest marketing methods that have come about during the holiday seasons as we find ourselves well within it? This is something that should be taken into account, the idea of Lego included in one of the greatest of ways.
There was an article posted on the Drum which went into detail about a Lego commercial that aired for the sake of appealing to families. It was clear that the holidays were the focus and that there was added emphasis on the action to "bring fathers and sons together." Seeing as how Lego has always been more of a boy-centric brand, it's not hard to imagine why this approach was taken. From what I have seen, this measure was probably the best that could have been taken.
We Are Pi put together a commercial that was entitled "Let's Build," which focused more so on emotion, as you can probably imagine. The commercial depicted a young boy playing with Lego blocks alongside his father. With this in mind, the emphasis on family is something that is made quite clear. Even though it is possible that the commercial can be more dynamic, I do not know if this particular ad needed such an element in order to be effective and there are a couple of reasons for this.
The act of advertising should not be complicated, whether you are looking at TV commercials or the wraps that are created by various authorities, JMR Graphics. Keep in mind that trailer graphics, while effective in their own right, are not exactly the types of items which have to be overly complicated. In fact, the creation process is one in which simplicity is looked at highly. This, in turn, helps to make designs in general become more aesthetically pleasing, as if not to overwhelm anyone's eyesight.
I have to believe that a clean presentation is what will help trailer graphics stand out even more. These types of graphics are easily some of the best and I'd like to think that simplicity is what was able to help Legos with this commercial. This is one of the most treasured identities out there for the male audience, seeing as how many have played with them in their youth. If this commercial did one thing rather well, it is that it conveyed how certain interests don't fade with age.
